Noel’s Story
power to do anything
Noel has been involved in Hurling and Football since the age of 5 with his club Loughmore/Castleiney representing them at all age groups and has also represented Tipperary in Hurling from the age of 15 to the present day. He has had some greats days in the red and green and in the blue and gold winning county finals at both codes and All Irelands in Croke park. There were also many defeats and obstacles along the way which shows that not everything is straight forward and it’s about how you recover and come back from them that counts.
In April 2015 Noel faced his biggest challenge when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. As a fit and healthy 24 year old he did not expect this to happen to him but battled back to full health and returned to the playing fields later that summer. His love for playing with his club and county helped him to keep a focus during this time and gave him something to aim for during this tough period of his life. There were many challenges during this time but overcoming it showed great resilience and desire to overcome the challenges that were thrown at him. Thankfully he is now back to full health and is inspiring people to overcome tough times and to be their best in their personal and professional lives

Dealing with topics such as resilience, desire and teamwork and relating them to his life and how students can use them in their everyday lives.
Workshops
That help the students to build confidence by completing tasks and games in teams and as individuals. These activities are both engaging and empowering and encourage the students to solve problems together and individually and enjoying the competitive nature that these games bring.
BUSINESSES
Talk
Noel’s inspiring story showing how he has overcome obstacles both on and off the pitch during his life. The theme of the talk focuses on the areas of resilience, desire and teamwork and explains his experience of how characteristics from sport can be transferred into the business world to help people excel in their personal and professional lives. Questions and answers session is a major part of this as it allows the audience to interact and ask any questions they may have regarding the topics discussed or relevant to the theme of the talk.
Workshops
That involve both the talk as well as interactive and fun games that help to develop teamwork, decision making and communication between the staff members. This is great for enhancing the morale among staff members and allowing them to relax and enjoy the activities away from the day to day pressures of work while at all times learning and developing themselves personally and professionally.

Testimonials
At Amneal Ireland Noel really helped kick start our year early in January with an inspiring talk. He encouraged us to be positive in times of adversity and keep end goals in mind. Noel followed up with some fun games emphasising the importance of team work which really helped bond our team in Cashel.
Noel visited us in January and told a very emotive and inspirational account of his story to our Year 12 and Year 14 pupils, all of whom found it a very motivational event. Noel’s ability to relate to the pupils was excellent throughout and he also took time to take a very focused and energetic short skills session with our senior hurlers which was very enjoyable for them and very much appreciated.
Noel’s story is an inspiration & well worth a listen to on its own but when it is allied with some simple thinking and coping mechanisms it is extremely powerful. I witnessed the full range of development. From children starting to believe in themselves to adults becoming more driven and determined to set and achieve goals.
Noel gave a workshop to our Senior hurling students on personal development, dealing with adversity and achieving at their chosen sport. His presentation really engaged the students with slide shows, short videos, speaking about the challenges of playing sport at the highest level and practical sessions outside. I would highly recommend Noel’s workshop as it focused the student’s minds on what it takes to be successful at sport and life in general.
Noel recently spoke to our 6th Year students about Wellbeing & Resilience. His ability to engage at a level the students could understand, makes him an ideal speaker for any school. He helped them to see how they should trust their talents & abilities. I would recommend Noel for any school or organisation and hope to welcome him back in the future.
Thank you Noel for your contribution to the success of our Operations Conference in Clonmel. A key note speaker plays an important role in any conference.
Your message was on target and insightful to our organisation’s needs at this time, whilst also engaging and interacting with the audience through your thought provoking exercise.
